Can anyone with experience tell us what type of socket is required for the electric hook up in Houx? I've never stayed in this site before and our group have hired two motorhomes - and we're also all motorhome vigins too! I'm assuming the motorhome electric hook-up cable has a standard blue (200v-240v) male socket with 3 round pins. I'm intending to buy a couple of male & female blue sockets and make a long extension lead to reach our nearest electric point - but wondered whether the site use this standard form of outdoor socket,or is it a simple standard French round two pin type, or do we need some type of adapter?

>> The last time I stayed in Houx was some years ago but it was only the standard French two pin plug. I'd guess it hasn't changed. Take a couple of multi way plugs or blocks, plastic bags for waterproofing and duct tape to stop people unplugging you!

Yep, still the same last year and expect the same this year.

Thanks guys - will take pleanty of duct tape and bags!

Last year at Houx the electric hook up was just the regular french plug, not the blue camping hook up.
Cheers, see you there ..... smile

Here you go...This was on the Wednesday when we arrived...you may struggle if arriving later in the week. You may need to link of someone else near by? I did notice last year that some people attached multi blocks of the blue connectors so others could link in as well. As you can see, Duc tape is key wink
Oh and they are all french plugs so bring an adapter (or buy a lead from the hypermarkets when there with a french plug on it!)

>> That's really helpful info too, sepecially the photo.... Nice to see the French adhering to Health & Safety regs!
