F1 calendar revealed.

No race on Le Mans weekend.

Suppose it allows more drinking/dinner time without GP distraction.

That was the reason behind the move of the 24 Hours from 15/16 June to 22/23 June. All hail the FIA!

Slightly disappointed. Always enjoyed getting back to the gite from the LM24 and watching the Canadian GP. Apart from most of the 2011 one that lasted 4 hours - needed some sleep! Enjoyed the last lap though!

Will probably be a needless change of dates because New Jersey GP is still to be confirmed.
Can't see them change it back when NJ GP will be cancelled?

The idiots in charge have now cancelled the NJ race so Le Mans could have taken place in its usual slot. furious

I guess its too much rejigging to change the Le Mans date back now with the test dates and everything confirmed. Why move the absolutely nailed on race for a race that had little to no chance of actually happening. wkers.

Talk of a Mexican Grand Prix replacing it anyway so probably still be a grand prix that weekend

Is there anything published that has said it is cancelled because it is on the same weekend as Le Mans?

Other GPs have taken place on the same weekend so why would this stop the new jersey race?

The only things I have read is that simply the race is not ready to go ahead, they are behind scedule and no contracts have been signed because of this.

They didn't expect the infrastructure to be ready in time for the GP, due to 'construction delays', hence we have to wait until 2014

One consolation of the date change, is that for the last few years the weather has tended be be much better the week AFTER the race. So we can but hope!
