Good advice above - pack and prepare for rain and sun.
The weather is all over the shop at the moment. Here in Amsterdam it has been mostly miserable since I moved here in January, just becoming less cold as the weeks have passed.
But today, I just went outside the office and it is HOT. Must be 30 degrees. So I dunno what to expect at LM but have hot and cold weather clothes packed and ready to go in 4 hours....

Yep, it's odd at the moment. Last week where we live it wasn't that great, but I was in the U.S. , and today it's 35C.
I give up on the weather forecasts. Gavin says very rainy on Saturday but the local one here at Le Mans says a nice day.

Well, it did at the time of posting, but they change it a few times per day.

Any updates from people who are already there? Is it a mud bath? haha. My first year this year so looking forward to it, rain or no rain!
To extend on this, if you're just staying around the circuit, and not camping, does your footwear take a beating or is there ok paths in the event of rain?jon- said:

Not too bad. Village etc is all tarmac. Paths around Dunlop get a bit sticky, but quite sandy, rather than muddy ground. We have just had a helluva thunderstorm, added to which it rained lightly all night last night and a lot yesterday. Monday we had a storm early in the morning which destroyed marquees and some tents. In fact, I pity anyone this year who finds themself at the bottom of Houx or anywhere in Beauséjour frankly. The weather this year has just been terrible.

If you've been to LM before, you know you have to pack for both. It's been about 12years since the last completely dry week there, and by all accounts it was a bloody scorcher then - unbearably so.
I've a mate who's a marshal at Tertre Rouge and arrived on site yesterday, camped next to the marshal's post. He described last night as "monsoon like" and that a lot of the surrounding area's flooded.
this is my 5th year unfortunately this year the cars boot has got considerably smaller than previous years, packing for both simply isnt an option, ill be the one wandering round in shorts and welliesI've a mate who's a marshal at Tertre Rouge and arrived on site yesterday, camped next to the marshal's post.
