Last year there was a guy by the name of kiters42 who said that when he aired his tent a few weeks before the race, his cat would wander inside. Depending on whether he went in through the left entrance or the right entrance would determine the weather that year.

Looking forward to reading about the results of this test once again.

It's scheduled for this weekend smile

See below for the original post last year

"I put the tent up in the garden around 1-2 weeks before just to check that all is well, the cat always gets in for a nose. If it goes in via the front then it will be a scorcher if via the back then it will be wet. Bit like ground hog day"

I will let you know the result!!

Snow, snow would be good.
Would be fantastic...pit crews on hand and knees looking at crap multi lingual instructions and illustrations by a 4 year old on how to attach snow chains to a prototype lol

Having said that we'd still need a BMW driver who has decided they don't need them, crabbing at 2mph up the incline to Dunlop bridge ;-)

Well. we've just finished a four day rally just up the road at Mayenne and I have put my swimming pool back in the garage. Now why did I not take the other car? It's a heady 13C now we're back at Le Mans too.

...Aaah, but Metcheck are only posting this to cheer us Brits up!!

Possible sleet at Spa over the bank holiday weekend FFS!!!

Forecasting a month in advance - you might as well start hanging the sea-weed in the tree and see which circles the crows are flying, clockwise or anti-clockwise.

Don't mind if it's not scorchio, just so long as there's no rain!

On a more serious note, try and follow the weather forecast here:-

http://france.meteofrance.com/france/meteo?PREVISI...

The actual meteorological station is just the other side of the aerodrome, so close enough. However, I would advise against putting too much faith in it, albeit it's the national weather centre forecast. They get it wrong nearly every day (rain all day yesterday but we never saw a drop) and are famous for forgetting to take down the previous day's forecast - which even in hindsight was still wrong!

Just understand that there will be weather, that's all I can tell you.

You could also (nearer the race) look up the aviation forecast for Le Mans airport LFRM eg

Right I've done as you've instructed and the crows and one blue tit are flying anti clockwise.....what does this mean?

Last year your cat's weather forecasting powers weren't that accurate, IIRC.

Hope he has taken some lessons this year! (or not, when the forecast is monsoon of course)

Although I know you're only speaking in jest (you are, aren't you?), that is not how to treat a cat!
Better bring it over to Le Mans then, so I can take it to Antwerp with me.
