My cat was sitting on the ridge of the house this morning licking its left paw. Thus it is confirmed that there will be weather at Le Mans this year.

Ill be happy with Rain, Sun or Smow, but please get rid of that wicked south westerly that destroys gazebos. We finally worked out last year theres a prevailing wind coming in from that direction. Unfortunately wed already put up 2 3x10m gazebos which nicely channeled the wind in to the middle of the L. I recall avout a dozen people jumping up and grabbing rails as we nearly lost the main tent. It was that bad we nearly ran out of gaffa tape doing repairs. This year im planning and taking tie downs, ground anchors, double strenght gaffa tape, just to make sure that this year the weather is calmer.

One prediction is that There will be less darkness this year as mad Friday is on midsummers day. lets see if i can stay concious past midnight this time and watch the sun come up.

Hopefully hot and dry, until the race and then wet for at least 6 hours then the racing will be fun and more open.

AccuWeather's monthly forecast now includes the Le Mans dates. It's looking good.

Dream on!

Why would you believe a California based outfit when the locals Meteo.fr are struggling to be accurate 2 days ahead.

Chance would be a fine thing, but it cant do any harm to try and stay a little positive.

That will confuse the organisers as this year there will not be their beloved Peugeot Team to help by running safety cars until such a point that they catch the Audis then withdraw the safety cars even though its still pi$$ing down with rain. Only joking, that didn't really happen ...........

Nor did they park the Peugeot up at the side of the track to avoid doing another lap in dicky conditions and then roll over the line, they can't have done or they'd have been disqualified giving a podium to Rollcentre.

...Aaah, but Metcheck are only posting this to cheer us Brits up!!

Possible sleet at Spa over the bank holiday weekend FFS!!!

Forecasting a month in advance - you might as well start hanging the sea-weed in the tree and see which circles the crows are flying, clockwise or anti-clockwise.

Don't mind if it's not scorchio, just so long as there's no rain!
Nick
Right I've done as you've instructed and the crows and one blue tit are flying anti clockwise.....what does this mean?
Just done laps at Spa....it was so feckin foggy that you couldn't see the crow, never mind any tits.
Snow for the Giro d'Italia on Sky last night...The world's gone mad.

In an attempt to raise the morale of the troops I would like to let you all know that the weather is dramatically improving. This morning it was 6C with horizontal rain. But now, at 12.30 local time, it is just lashing down vertically with no wind and a balmy 13C.

Thanks for that, do we expect the weather to be like the UK was a week before? I recall that theory being booted around over the years...?

It is 7C as I write, the sun is up, the dew heavy and while the forecast is better for the nights nearer the race, it might not be a bad thing to pack something warm.

Ok so the tent went up for a test run this weekend and the cat ....................... well totally ignored it no in from the front or back!!!!

But by the rules of the Bristol Le Mans groundhog day if the tent is ignored by the cat then the weather for the weekend of the 2013 Le Mans 24hr will be
.............. SCORCHIO!!!!

None really forecast for the next few days except the possible odd shower. The ground is wet with dew in the mornings but that burned off by 10.30am. What is interesting is the practice day forecast (next Sunday) where they are saying possible thunderstorms. It'll have changed by tomorrow, but it would make the watching very interesting.

But cats are total bds. If its anything like my cat, it has done this deliberately just to piss you off when you get to LMS expecting hot weather and its 2007 all over again. bd.
