Le Mans 24 2014 - What are you driving?
Discussion
Plenty of nice cars in Jersey.
I suspect their owners would want some quality accommodation.......a Chateau at the least!
Jersey is not really a drivers island though with the low blanket speed limit. I do like the way they close roads for racing though. Watching ex F1/F2 cars blasting up Bouley Bay hill climb was a memorable holiday (especially as I was staying in the hotel there).
The island floats on money but I suspect most are not petrol heads though.

Not for us we rough it in camping houx , that's where all the laughs happen for us . and there are plenty of cars over here tucked away most of the time though but there are a select group of us that use our cars quite a lot .
And you are right there is a big motorsport scene over here but due to there not being any race tracks pretty much all of it is done on public roads

Yes all the way from jersey . probably on our own as never seem to get many decent cars going down from this way .
Not many from Guernsey either, where I live, other than my lovely Audi Avant :-)The Island's are great and surprisingly, because of the speed limits, have a large number of high powered cars.
Quite a few older cars travel to the Classic 24 which is where I am going this year (camping on MB). There are also a large amount of military vehicles in the Island's, probably because of the occupation, a number of which are going to the D Day celebrations in France.

Im curious as to when people get onto sections of the track when its quiet to take pics of their cars - when can we access it like that? This year is my first le mans and would be nice to get a few momentos like that! going from 9th all the way through to the 16th
Last year, a group of people that will remain nameless (in case of trouble or spotting for this year) and that I may or may not have been a part of, waited until immediately just after the race when the marshals encampment on MB was opened as was the barrier to the track and the marshals disappeared. Then, may or may not have lined up on the Porsche Curves for this photo, and then two of them may or may not have gone for a spirited friendly "trip" up the circuit.

we did similar in 2006 with Supasparks tvr 3000m, we were told at porche curves to "get off the piste" we poltely told him we couldnt see any snow, spun the car around and got all the way back to the Ford chicane before being 'escorted' back into MB and then two of them may or may not have gone for a spirited friendly "trip" up the circuit.
was a great trip and somewhere in a box at my parents house i have the video hah.

This group may have been asked to leave by security and promised to do so after the photo had been taken. Security may have promptly buggered off to the start-finish and left it to proceed.was a great trip and somewhere in a box at my parents house i have the video hah.
