Oh st bks and buggeration! My head gaskets gone! Still drives and doesn't overheat but not worth the risk so it seems I'm in works vw up exclamation mark. How inconvenient!

It's still May, can't it be changed in time?

Not at all financially doable till end of summer. Unless I find an uber cheap kv6 engine with the cambelt already done. To ebay! I'm not too worried, work kindly offered me a vw up! If i need it.

Hi posters, it's my fifth consecutive Le Mans but this year I'm a foot passenger on the Friday morning ferry from Portsmouth to caan, has anyone got 2 spare seats in a vehicle on that ferry that we can cadge a lift from, obviously we will pay petrol money.

No space in my MR2 Roadster, but if no one has space there are trains from Caen to Le Mans

Possibly yes, depending on how much lugguage you have and what car we take, drop me an email and we'll see if we can sort something, by Friday morning ferry do you mean the ferry leaving at half 11 on the Thursday night arriving in Caen early Friday morning?

My 10th Le Mans and second time in this:

Will be in Maison Blanche with two mates who are most likely coming in a SL 500. Come and say hello smile Also please ask the SL owner if it's the V12, he loves that!

Ah, if the ferry leaves Portsmouth at 8.15 Friday morning we'll be long gone by the time you arrive. Sorry dude. Hope you work something out.

hopefully you have time to get it fixed or sort out a replacement car? Being an ex-Rover guy I understand the head gasket fun (although none of my Rovers suffered this fate!) so hopefully you can get it sorted. Sorry but I cannot offer you transport, I'm coming from Holland and my two mates from UK in a Merc SL so only two seats (and on Weds).

Best of luck and keep us posted as to how you get on. Beers on us in Maison Blanche if you make it!

I'm in a boring but comfortable car this year - lots of space, cruise, climate, auto, BOSE stereo and a diesel engine. Of course I'd rather be in an Elise, but sadly this is my only option this year.
