OK thanks for that. I didn't go last year but went the two years before that staying on Bleu Nord and didn't see anything particularly mad on the Friday afternoon/early evening drive in. I'd heard that mad Friday happened just past BN but we didn't hear or see any of it.

That red circle needs to go over to the left a bit and up a bit as you have missed out he infamous Houx roundabout and enterance of Houx and Houx annex! Also by the chineese resturant on the Mulsanne straight. wink

I'm curious to have a see what goes on as well having not strayed that far on a Friday...you never know, if enough of us turn up it might become almost sensible.

(Who am I kidding!)

Mad Friday used to be controlled madness from what I remember although there was a small amount of tw**ish behaviour it never got to the point of vandalism the water pistols have always been there but were generally used to soak the floor for burnouts not the people in convertables.
A fond memory of mine was a red lotus europa putting on quite a display of roundabout tyre screeching, donuts and burnouts he went back and forth for most of the evening and the police sat back and watched with enjoyment to.

That'll be this one, I think he started the whole Houx Annex roundabout thing. We always had a big crowd down there and were also responsible (? laugh) for the Sunday night fireworks wink

We frequent Classic Le Mans more now although this weekend the Lotus is racing at La Pommeraye hill climb France

Yes, used to be great fun.

Arnie in the mad yellow Caterham, Joe doing wheelies on his R1 Yamaha, Martin in the Europa, fireworks, big fires, mega flag poles, standing on the Armco on the Mulsanne those were the days for sure smile

What no guide ropes! wink

The other thread has reminded me..

This is the route I am intending to take to get to into Beausejour on Friday, late afternoon/early evening. A fairly good shout on avoiding most of the trouble?
