Peltor's for me,probably a bit more costly but well worth it.Who cares what you look like when you know whats happening at the Porsche curves when your in the Dunlop grandstand and once you have the active ambient sound sorted out and you share the Porsche curves info with your mate you dont sound like Dom Jolly.

I bought one of these last year and it was really good no probs with the tuning and good sound for the priceCraikeybaby said:

I found the ear defenders no problem at all from a comfort point of view, extended wear wasn't a problem. The only down side is that if you have a "dumb" pair they make conversation more difficult. It is far too easy to retreat into your own little world listening to Radio LM and ignore your companions.gt6 said:

Any feedback on radios from those who bought them for silverstone WEC? I'm back on the idea of getting ear defender radios !
Yes, I bought the ones in my previous post, but returned them, as I was expecting in ear earphones, rather than over the ear ones.Craikeybaby said:

I looked at all the options again and settled on the same Sony one, but with in ear earphone, bought from eBay in the end. When I got it, it was bigger than I expected, but all the other options looked to be the same size, so I stuck with it.Layered up at Silverstone I didn't notice I was wearing it, other than that I could hear the commentary clearly! There were a few times were the reception dropped out, usually trigger by me moving. I'm not sure if it was the tuning wheel getting knocked, or a dodgy connection to the aerial in the earphone lead - will put a multi meter on it before Le Mans to check.
For £16 delivered it does the job and I'll be taking it to Le Mans.
Another vote for the Sony radio Craikeybaby linked to. I have the same model and it's seen me through seven Le Mans, three Silverstone 1000s and a DTM.
Think I've only had to change the battery in it a couple of times in all that use too.
It is worth using with better earphones though.

Which earphones did you use? My understanding is that the fm aerial is up the earphone lead. Think I've only had to change the battery in it a couple of times in all that use too.
