We're sat on the overnighter from Portsmouth to Caen (23.45 as I type) & the atmosphere is great. ...although there was a disappointing low number of cars stickered up - this was partly made up for by a transit with a disco/smoke machine in the queue at the port! See those of you staying at PH early on Thursday afternoon biggrin

Yep, we were in the queue by the party transit. Also saw the PH stickered taxi.

We're on the Le Havre boat and heading out now. Sleep well all!

Almost time to point the MR2 towards the Chunnel, felt like a kid on Xmas eve last night.

So jealous of you lot. Found out yesterday I could actually go in the end but I have no tickets, no car (sold it yesterday) and no one able to come with me. frown

Joining this year with the males from the family - I received the grades for my Uni finals yesterday, and so an impromptu trip to Le Mans for the first time is a celebration.

All very last minute, but we're driving down to the Chunnel on Friday, returning back Sunday night and hopefully be back up to Scotland by daybreak on Monday.

I've always wanted to go to Le Mans & enjoy the atmosphere & the racing. Sadly i haven't got a car, got work at college to finish & i can't go on my own.

Guess it'll be the good old TV again.

Arrived at Hotel Arbor a few hours ago - car was fantastic, never missed a beat. Settled down to watch the qualifying of the group C cars (what a noise!) and the Porsche super cup which also make a really good sound, I'd forgotten how good actually. Probably got one of the best views of the whole track, now able to view the track from a lot closer than previous years. We're situated just after the 2nd chicane, not more than 10ft from the trackside. Awesome stuff.

I'm planning on getting up at about 11am on Saturday before travelling to the tv room via a scenic route that takes in Majestic Wine. Will order a French themed meal for Saturday night; onions on my kebab

Pictures to follow.

Ok, it's not the romantic option biggrin Always enjoyable though even in Blighty.

Was leaving from Premier Inn in Maidstone this morning and my friend misplaced a folder containing his passport and all the camping documents on my cars spoiler. Drove off and the folder vanished, never to be seen ever again. Some bds stolen it no doubt.

Typing this at home completely gutted now :[
