Until I see an article with the title "ACO announce dates for 2015 Le Mans 24hr" I wouldn't assume anything. No footy next year, maybe elections, maybe a meteor shower, maybe a well planned strike, you never know....

So I've had confirmation from Mrs Oldwolf, Badger, Wren, A2OM, Barbarian (who may buy a CRX to do the trip) and Keithy Baby. Just need Rich & Sarah, Aram, Graham, Matt and Michael, Rob and a few others (including Mrs Oldwolf's brother and sister) to send me cash and we'll be away! Obviously we'll be drinking with the Dutch, JW, Arter etc who are the Dutch Kit Car Club and all will be well... I can't bloody wait!!
So we've got the important bit sorted and now we need to work out the livery for next year, all suggestions are welcome:
Red NA MX5 for the Wolves
White Freelander 2 for Badger
Grey Mini Cooper S or A2OM
Some form of Audi for Rich and Sarah
CRX for Barbarian (colour unknown as he hasn't bought it yet)
Porsche for Aram (think it's black)
Graham has a Renault in a dark colour but that may change

Plans are well under way!!!
(Of course I haven't taken this years stickers off yet)

I've never been to Le Mans before but wifey has given me and my eldest son the green light for 2015.

Can't wait - and hope I get my head round all the options of how to get there, where to stay etc etc

I've already sent the order to my tocket man smile
2015 will be out 4th year in Houx. Lets hope that Nissan arrive ready to fight, and that Porsche and Toyota can have a little more luck and a little more reliability to really take the fight to the dominant Audi squad.

What a bloody surprise! I don't know how many times I've published it here - and it seems as if it comes as a surprise to many of you:-

THE 24 HEURES DU MANS WILL TAKE PLACE ON THE 24TH WEEKEND OF THE YEAR.

Simple peeps.

OK. I get it. We're all too stupid to have worked out that it's always on the 24th weekend. Thanks for explaining that.

BTW, did you have a good time at Le Mans on the 24th weekend of 2013? At least it wouldn't have been too crowded, what with the race being on the 25th.

Except when it isn't. That though, is the general rule of the ACO.

Seriously considering a revisit in 2015 having been to the 2012 event , 1st ticket PH camp site was great , the only downside was the mobile disco just outside .never mind !
The only difference for us ( me and son ) next year is to use the caravan instead of being under canvas , so , did any Ph ers take a caravan this year , I know the pitch sizes from 2012 , how did the larger pitch work out or did you use 2 smaller pitches ,
In 2012 we shared 2 smaller pitches with my brother (also under canvas ) and fitted 2 cars 3 tents and a gazebo in the space ,so I could book 2 adjacent pitches

Also from 1st tickets how do you adjust the inclusive camping / ferry price to take account of a caravan ?
Cheers Rod

For those asking about the PH private site, to register your interest email interest@1st-tickets.co.uk with the subject of “PHLM15’

Once they're back from the Le Mans Classic the ball will start rolling for 2015 making things bigger and better thumbup
