Do people really do test packs??
They do if their car is so small they have no idea what will fit in it and what will be left behind!TimLambert7 said:
We had absolutely no idea if everything was going to fit in the Twingo, by slinging in the absolute necessities we have got an idea of how much room we have for the less necessary!
We aren't all blessed with infinitely roomy cars
Yes, I know I'll be the one who is messing around in the early hours of Friday morning trying to fit my clothes for the weekend in the glove box because I haven't judged the boot space correctly! We aren't all blessed with infinitely roomy cars
No test packing for me, never been to Le Mans before, haven't been camping for 35 years, never "packed" the Chimaera for a week away, leaving midday tomorrow & car still up on front axle stands, handbrake needs adjusting, car needs washing, new serpentine / supercharger belt to fit, vinyls need applying, no packing done at all yet, won't get back home until 6pm today !! Easy, nothing to worry about

Vac bags are good for packing in a tight space, I'm off to Argos at lunch for some, gives more room for repair parts tools for the car
Unless you are taking a vacuum cleaner with you just remember that whatever you vac packed here will take up 10 times the space coming home !!Bob
My car has a very small boot that is 50% full of fuel tank! I have slowly been fitting in what I can and will finish tomorrow night, what does not fit in gets let behind. Never been before, very excited car is ready few subtle a LeMans stickers plus the race numbers......... really hoping it does not rain as the car has no roof and no wipers !

Bag packed (check), sleeping bag (check), coat (check), tools 'n stuff (check), important documents (check) - just got to visit Morrison's tomorrow to fill up using a '10 p/litre off' voucher and put chim666 Jnr's stuff in the boot (and chim666 Jnr in the passenger seat!) - then away for Pompy and the 22.45 ferry to Caen.
