Its called ,, Also Sprach Zarathustra by Richard strauss. Also was the in the film 2001 a space odysey,,,, so Mrs log says anyway

Yes it's the depiction of sunrise from Also Sprach Zarathustra by Richard Strauss. It was used for the dawn of knowledge scene in Kubrick's 2001: A Space Odyssey. Note that The Blue Danube waltz also used in the film is by Johann Strauss, who was not related to Richard.

Must say I think its an epic piece which fits perfectly with the start of the race - itself an epic event.
