For those of us on a motorbike, I used the following method to get back to the UK for 20:30

- Arrive at 16:45
- At around 17:30-18:00 ride through the traffic to the front of the queue.
- Go to the “holding area” while taking to the grass and between the bollards to jump the queue.
- Ride to the front of a queue and follow the cars that had been waiting for hours who were being let through to the terminal.
- Ignore your boarding group (I was C) and joined the G group, and hope no one checks.
- Board train and get back to the UK for 20:30 and home with glass of wine at 00:30.

Yes- that account does not surprise me at all. Complete arrogance quite frankly but does not surprise me in the slightest. I'm sure many of us on four wheels who waited patiently for many hours to take our place on the train will be thrilled to know how you and your buddies queue jumped because you are on bikes.

We left early on Monday and only a very short piss stop aiming to be 2 hrs earlier than our booking as they stick you on the first train within the 2 hrs slot, had no idea there was a problem as not checked the news. Arrived to find the massive queues at 12:30, joined said queue and were on a train at 16:00 which left at ~ 16:30 so not too dreadful when I'd read 6 hrs delay on BBC news.

To those slating the bikers - come on if you were on a bike you'd have done the same.

Glad you enjoyed the route. Lovely swinging bends, villages, bars, towns and not one BiB. At least, I hope you found it so.

I was in the silver VX220 directly in front of you in the holding area smile
Should have joined you on the ferry. We ended up in the truck parking by the terminal at this point the Dunkirk spirit had set in with a school band getting off the bus to play ( not very well mind) and some obvious LMC guys breaking out the BBQ.
