I've noticed during the 24 that the aa have a couple of vans based at bsj. I assume to profile cover rather than using contractors. Same for the LMC?

We had two TVR's, a Morgan Aero 8 and a 1968 Porsche 911 in our group, we counted them out and we counted them all back home, an excellent sortie round Northern France.

2 Lotus Esprit's both covering 1600 miles in 5 days (Cheshire to Le Mans with a trip to Nantes on Friday afternoon and back on Saturday morning). Neither missed a beat. Hope the MGB GT behind us on the Eurotunnel got home OK. Was having clutch probs and as I was driving off the tunnel noticed it wasn't following.

My Cerbera had a major drive train issue (Prop, Drive Shaft or Diff) just south of Alencon on the way home Monday. So we (me & my son) jump in the support van and continue back to Le Havre and get home in Southampton and unloaded by about 11pm.
I'm back on the road with covered trailer in tow at 00:30. Catch the 04:26 Tunnel crossing and I'm back at the Cerbera by 1pm. Get it loaded and catch the 16:15 Caen to Portsmouth ferry and back home for 22:30 Tuesday night. Absolutely knackered!!!!

TVR's eh? wink

Everyone who had the misfortune to be behind my LC when stationary was under the impression it was on it's last legs.....

1040 mile round trip and it used 1/4 Litre of oil, doesn't smoke when above 1000rpm but below it you need gas mask and night vision goggles if you are behind it....

I felt so sorry for all those arriving from the motorway from wherever on Saturday to find the enormous queues. I was trying to go the other way back home from the circuit and it took two hours to cover six miles - and that before noon. I saw quite a number of classics parked up on the hard shoulder mostly I guess with overheating problems. Classic ACO organisation f***up. Sheepishly I admit to using the classic cars for round and about, but the Merc anywhere near the circuit. I have long experience of either boiling over or the fan flattening the battery; dynamo and not alternator you see.

ETA: and my full admiration to the OP for his knowledge and ability in keeping his team rolling. We all need someone like you.
