You can help from as little as a quid.

Go on you know it makes sense.

Well if you chip in a quid or two they'll have some!

I've chipped in to the fund. It will be interesting to see if they get anywhere near their target.

I suspect it will be hard for even a well known and popular driver like Brabs to get enough people to put their hands in their pockets year-on-year.

Looks like they are trying the same route as the Bloodhound Project? Trouble is what ever is predicted in funding normally has to be tripled! Bold statement also talking of LMP1 in 2018!

Not sure what engine set up they intend to use for this project but if it involves Electric power I'm not interested. I'm a Petrolhead biggrin

The reason no one else has done this is that the business model doesn't work in motor racing.......sadly.

If he's lucky he will get enough together to do a season, but will then run out of money once the novelty wears off about halfway through season number 2.

A rich man asking people for money......?

I've never understood why anyone sets up these projects as Flexible Funding? If he needs £250k then he needs £250k. If he only raises £150k then he gets the £150k but it's not enough so what is he going to do with it?

It also says that they need £8m for a season of LMP2 so what use is £250k? I don't see how this funding model works for racing, it's not like it is something that has a one-off cost, it is an activity that needs a constant flow of funds

I, like many on this site would love to go racing but the cost means we simply can't afford it. £250k would keep me in club racing for 25 years! These guys could piss it away on a single test day.

I really don't understand the logic of giving to something like this.
