Will have to invest in some more arctic-friendly clothing in order to cope with Silverstone in bloody April again !

Hi guys,

Wouldn't mind going to Spa and Silverstone this year in addition to LM - where would I find more information on the camping and such like?

Le Mans has a mine of information knocking about, but for Spa and the British WEC round, i'm struggling.

TIA

Chris

The silverrsone round isnt that big by silverstone stnadards, so they are likely to have local camping options or even b&b available.

Remember its april. Could be very wet and cold. Northampton's bright lights are a short drive away...

For Silverstone I think (we're only 25 mins away so don't need to camp etc..) Woodlands http://www.silverstone.co.uk/visiting/silverstone-...

and I think Travel Destinations do the camping or at least they did... with a flex hotel option ($$$) http://www.lemansrace.com/fia-wec/prices/6-hours-o... although nothing on there as yet.

It has been known to be ultra wet the last couple of years, I'm fairly certain at least 2, if not more, of the sessions ended under SC or were even red flagged over the past 2 years. We gave up when the SC went out with around 45 mins to go and then I think it was red flagged - no real point in trudging round with it looking like the rain had set in for the afternoon.

I think the only camping at Silverstone last year was at Whittlebury, knowing how cold it was during the day camping doesn't appeal, Travelsplodge rooms in Northampton are available for under £30 (or they were last week).

For Spa I'll be here http://en.eaurouge.nl/

Hmm.... The LM24 test day is tempting or the pre season test.. Has anyone been to the pre-season test, is it worth going to or not? In terms of track action.

Stood in the middle of the track collecting the winners, all I was waiting for was Noah! Add to that freezing over night in the tent, Silverstone did not have the best of weather. (Spa was cold overnight too)

In the stands on the main straight. Resorted to an umbrella to stop my legs getting soaked! Needed a snorkel!
