Buzzing. Missed last year (although hosted a LM2014 24hrs garden bash... brilliant!!) so can't wait for June!

Taking a mate over for his first Le Mans 2015. Saying on the PH extension on Bleu Nord. Any tips for absolute must-dos? I've got a list of my own but keen to hear everyone's little gems you might be kind enough to share.

There have been a few threads on the question you pose. As a relative newbie on my 3rd visit, I suggest you get an itinerary planned to make sure you give him the full LM experience I.e. Possible pit walk, Great British Welcome, Friday LM parade, PH LM gathering etc etc. If your friend hasn't familiarised himself with PH forum & the build up, get him checking the threads & send him the link for "the sock story". Also get him to check the previous stickered up threads. If you're brave enough, work up a livery for the car you're travelling in!

SWMBO stated at a family lunch today that she thinks LM is taking my life over & I'm getting a little OCD about it.....I've had to resort to subterfuge until now, although she's about to work away from home during the week so I'm going to keep myself busy over the next 3 months in the garage/on the forum (& I've already got my stickers on the way as well as she found out today)!!. I'm not over excited by the way, I've added 3 friends to the "excited squad" as LM virgins to our group hehe:

On the Socks story, make sure you are either on your own when reading it, or have people around you who don't mind you bending double with laughter for no obvious reason! The GBW is itself a cosmopolitan event though you might want to get there quite early as for my first trip last year we were amazed by the support it gets - you will also need to remember timing if you're going to the Friday Service given the traffic congestion around the area. Happy reading BTW wink

....this what you need when looking for a distraction from a sh*t day it work ....

Our travel info I.e. tickets etc. arrived yesterday from 1st Tickets....it's all getting quite real now when in 2 weeks we'll be sat in France with the other early arrivals at Bleu Nord. The organisation on meal times for the catering package etc is so much easier with the online reply system (once you've read the email and calmed down from the excitement!) rather than turning up and having to sort it when you arrive. I hope everyone else is watching the post or the card saying collect from the sorting office - you know now it's something really important wink

Never heard of that socks story before, probably some of the best prose I've ever read - fantastic!
Is the author on PH?

Arrived home at 01.00 hrs today having had another epic trip with the booking via 1st Tickets and the posh glamping option. The campsite was great and the decision to reduce the numbers being catered for was a brave but correct one by Brian.

The 2 newbies who joined the original 4 certainly enjoyed themselves and one way or another wink we contributed our share to the French economy! The talk on the ferry was of stickers for the cars for next time so we'll see when the domestic discussion is raised of going scratchchin

Hope everyone at the PH campsite had a blast too yes

I also got home at 1am this morning. Could have done with a lie in after 4 days of excess!

The PH camping option was excellent and I'll definitely use it again.

We were in the 911 RSR look-a-like effort.
