A slightly early warning of date change 2016?

While searching google last night I spotted a lot of the F1 races seem to be provisionally being moved back 1 weekend in 2016.

I'm guessing / hoping (as my sons birthday is the 9th June) that the 2016 race will be 18th / 19th June. I know traditionally it's the 24th weekend of the year but think that's gone out the window now the FIA have got involved.

The biggest pointer is that Monaco Grand Prix is looking like 28th 29th May (and the Monaco historic is 14th / 15th which is held every 2 years 2 weeks before F1). So if races are kept in same order and don't clash with 24 Hours, Canadian Grand Prix should be 11th / 12th June, allowing the usual 2 weeks to move from Europe to North America.

Maybe something to consider when booking holiday time off work and pre booking accommodation a year in advance? I know a lot of people were caught out when it was changed after the initial dates were released a couple of years ago.

It has been on those dates in past years before so I don't see a problem with that

Actually looking back, the 2005 race was 18th / 19th and that was the 1st one I went to.

That was the scorcher! 30+ degrees all weekend with people burning themselves under their solar showers!

Paddling pools were all over the campsites too, then the ACO Banned them

If it is 18/19 June for 2016 I'd be really pleased. Our son was born on 18 June, which was Father's Day too, and our first trip together to LM was in 1996 which was on 18 June, and we've been going regularly since then. So, for 2016 we would have another double celebration at the race---birthday boy and Dad's Day too: excellent!

Same here too. 1965 birth means 50th this year and here's me thinking of giving it a miss! :-)
