St. Saturnin 2015
Discussion
Just seen on the CBW site about the passing of John Curtis. I thought the name rang a bell as he was the fella (in conjunction with Lowdrag) who got me into the 2010 Drivers Parade. Is there any sort of collection/commemeration going on at CBW as this guy must be deserving of one? Or is attendance and a continued presence of wonderful metal enough?
We were 150 at his funeral, including a lot of the team from St. Saturnin. Have a look at the other thread I started today on the model he left me. I was really touched by that. But, to answer your question, while John gave up the running four years ago as his health deteriorated, the most fitting tribute would be to turn up and raise a glass to him. He'd love that, and will be looking down with his own glass in hand.
You can get as far as the Universities by tram and St Saturnin GBW is about 5 miles away. So you could get a Taxi I suppose. If you drive there in a eurobox vehicle, you park in a different area to that, if you may be driving a sports, classic, supercar etc. These vehicles quite often become part of the "show",but you can leave when you like.
Here's my post on bus details last year. I've added new times below, but again look out for diversions due to show

Not done it before but:
Tram to Eperon (the stop after Republique)
Then number 20 bus from Eperon bus stop to Saint Saturnin village
They change a lot of the bus routes the 24 hour week so you'll need to get off in the village the stop before (See EDIT below - Thanks Kiters42)
Tram and bus tickets are valid for 1 hour so you might just make it on a single ticket but probably best to buy a day ticket to cover all options

(Can't guarantee times with the change of route )
Bus journey scheduled to take 24 minutes but I imagine the traffic will mess that up
Tram takes 20 minutes
Might attempt it myself if we're still beered up from previous night
EDIT I've updated map
to get off and we just followed all the lovely pieces of machinery to the entrance, got the bus back via the stop opposite and down the road a bit from the cafe

Did the bus stop at the bus stop near the entrance?
No it stopped bay a cafe opposite the road that leads under a small train tunnel to the event entrance about a 100 yard walk if that the bus driver gave us a shout to get off and we just followed all the lovely pieces of machinery to the entrance, got the bus back via the stop opposite and down the road a bit from the cafe

There's a map in the Beermountain map room.
This is my track log from my GPS last year on a slightly out of date base map. The D338 now takes a bypass to the east which is shown as projected here.
The wiggly bits on the eastern side of the D338 are where I nipped in the Auchan Hypermarché
The entrance is at the northern end and the exit loop to the south. Pleb parking is indicated by the blue P.
