Will stickers lift new paint?

I hope not! I'll have a chat with the painter when I pick it up on Friday and get his advice.

Cheers

I think it would be best to go without for a year.

The paint will probably only have 10 days to harden. Not enough IMO.

Plus the new paint is laying on plastic rather than metal, so it doesn't get quite as hard as it can't be baked at an equivalent temperature - I'd be very wary about stickering up.

Speak to your paint man - he may say something completely different but I know if it was me and I had just paid out £££ for a respray, I'd be thinking twice about stickers.

That said, you'll probably come back with a billion stone chips anyway wink

4 years ago I was in the same position so as not to miss out we did stickers to glass only.

Hi

New here but thought I would introduce myself. Staying at the Sport Village and driving a rather battered Nissan Navarra V6 that has been remapped. Going to detail it as best I can next week and get all the sticker on it so no one will miss it.

Hope to come to the meet up (wearing my PH T Shirt) although will likely get the tent sorted and get a taxi out to the event (after last years traffic chaos I don't want to be stuck for 3 hours trying to move half a mile)

Missed LM last year but as ever, I'll be in my trusted steed for the trip this year. Obviously the decals will be changed

Looking good what's in store for this year?

I put stickers on race cars virtually when the paint is still wet and they come off fine.

Just use a hairdryer or something similar to gently heat them up and be careful as you're removing, You really shouldn't have a problem. If the paint does come off its down to poor paint prep and not keying it in correctly in which case it'll still peel off next year anyway

Nothing to worry about there then! At least we should recognise it easily.

The orange 997.1RS sadly still being in the garage and the white 997.2 GT3 being sold, we'll be down with these two this year. Not in the picture is our Fiat Ducato support vehicle smile
Stickering up in the next few days - counting the days!

The Alpina is a D3 so you'll feel better once your Chimaera is gurgling next to it!
I'll try to give you some competition in the Kermit wink

Looking forward to seeing Kermit again, always my favourite car in the campsite! We normally camp next door to you in the BMW M5 and Ferrari 458.
