Just read a piece on Dailysportscar about the work to the Porsche curves. This includes moving the viewing bank back to allow for a bigger gravel trap, but in doing so the reinstated viewing bank will only be available to people staying with Travel Destinations on their campsite there.

A real shame, as that was always a good place to watch a bit of racing from.

Yes a good view point, maybe try the other side of the curves.

Oh for goodness sake...

It wouldn't be so bad if there were more viewing areas in the Porsche curves - can you still view from the roof at the kart track?

This is a shame as it was a benefit of being at Beausejour having it so close. You could just pop up the bank after a brief walk if you wanted to have a watch without walking so far!

Porsche Curves Interior viewing bank will still be available to the general public and that is the bank accessible from Beusejour.

Travel destinations site is on the exterior of the Porsche Curves ,some great photos of the work on Ten Tenths forum.

I don't think you have been speaking to the same Travel Destinations as I have CampDavid.
I have booked with them for many years and have always been treated well.

Incidentally they have told us (their customers) that it is the ACO that are changing the viewing bank at Porsche Curves.
The outside bank is being demolished and moved back. I don't think Travel Destinations has any choice in the matter.
The viewing bank on the opposite side of the track (accessed via Beausejour) is unchanged (as far as I am aware) so there is still viewing at Porsche Curves for those that want to.
Over reaction by some people on here as usual.

Edit: My replies apparently contravene the rules. I'll not be staying at Porsche Curves

As Stated previously Porsche Curves interior viewing bank is unchanged, although it has been extended so an attempt has been made to replace some of the viewing lost to the General Public.

The kart pits roof was a great view point. Closed at leman 2013 then demolished. Didn't even bother going down there 2014. Nissan had some viewing areas there but had to do a tour for a 1 1/2 hr to get a card to go up there.
