Any suggestions for the Calais side of Rouen?
Even some of the Autoroute service stations are pretty scenic. The Baie de Somme north of Abbeville has a nature reserve on site to look at whilst eating your plastic triangle sandwich.

Also it is a good car spotting site being fairly close to the ports.
I've stopped there many a time in the past. Just wanted to try something a little more out of the way this time. Though I may stop there on the way back up.

depending on what time you are getting down to the region, this place is pretty good ...

Auberge Normande, Le Pont de Londeau, 61250 Valframbert, France

... been there a couple of times on the way down. it gets busy though so might be worth booking if you are a big party. food is very good and you are less than an hour from the circuit once lunch is over

google map link here ... just north of alencon.
