blue / blanc parking - will they turn away VW T5 van?

Hi,

Does anyone have experience of Blanc / Blue parking (not the campsites) - with respect to whether they will let a converted VW T5 short wheelbase camper in? The LM.org website states FOR CARS ONLY, so I don't want to be refused entry having paid 40 euros. I will have a Beausejour camping pass which might help convince the stewards that I'm not setting up camp in the car park for the duration.

Just want to have a base closer to the circuit for the saturday night for a quick sleep, as I am likely to be taking my young son. It's such a trawl to and from the circuit from BSJ without bikes (which won't be an option for me this year), so I really want to avoid major whinging when we both get tired, and then the risk of missing most of the race stuck in the campsite..

Anyone with experience of this, or otherwise some pictures to enable me to see what's parked on there, will be much appreciated. Many thanks.

We park in Blanc and always see people putting tents up so they're not too hot on those folk. A lot of people sleep in their cars as well. So as long as the van isn't too big for the parking space then it should be ok. If you rocked up in a 28' motorhome then they'd turn you a way. I hope that a small van though should be let in without question.

It will be fine

So long as you don't rock up and setup a full disco PA system like the French "pie keys" did a few years back next to the PH site (unless the van runs well on sugared diesel )

There are usually two or three full-fat VW Californias on Blanc for the weekend. No drama in my experience

Mine is a poor man's conversion, but is more or less the same as a california (certainly with respect to size), so good news. Thanks.
