Roadworks report for 2015

Just returned from a trip to Le Mans and thought I would report on road conditions encountered (week ending 19th April)

A lot of resurfacing on the A28 with the worst near to Le Mans. All this I would expect to be complete before the event.

HOWEVER there are major bridge works going on just before the first Peage (the official PH Photo Location) with contraflow and only one exit from the Peage and the parking area closed off. I would hope this is completed before the 24hr but if not this will be a MASSIVE bottleneck! I am hoping to complete another trip before June so will report back on progress, but if anyone else does the trip hopefully they can update this thread.

Thanks for this, but when you say the 'first peage' - do you mean the first on the A28 at Bourg-Achard, or on the A16 from Calais/Boulogne??

The roadworks are at the Boulogne sur Mer toll on the A16, where the photos are normally taken by SL55Kleeman

The roadworks on the A16 at J 31 before the péage are due to end in May.

The work at the péage is due to last all year. However, they say it should cause minimal disruption.

Anybody heading towards Lille (like me) needs to note there will be roadworks on the A25 between J 11 and 9.
