Looking at the GFS graphs on wetterzentrale.de, there is hardly any agreement between the various forecast models after the 9th, so I think it is too early to call at the moment.
I reckon by Monday we will have a more confident forecast hopefully and poundland does rain ponchos for a quid

OMG, my son always has a go at me for looking at the weather threads, especially the one like acuweather/metcheck, which might as well roll the chicken bones.
But Gav, I have a respect for, but my son, NO, and I'm beginning to think he's right. Every year, our amateur forecaster comes up with jolly weather early on, then the cr*p moves in, just like this year.
We've gone from +29C, to storms and pestilance. It's almost like a yearly tradition.
The race will be there, so will I, but Gav might as well give up, he hasn't a clue, neither do the rest of the forecasts, he's just a guy in his front room, using computer models.
As we say up north, if you want to know the weather, open the window and put your hand out.

I must admit I'm an addict to the Weather Thread.
However, if it said snow I'd still go. The first year Aston won the GT category I was stood in the passing rain with my Aston flag while everyone else ran for cover.
THE WEATHER DOESN'T MATTER !!
If it's cold have more beer
If it's wet have more beer
If you are bothered about it, watch it on Eurosport!

It's been lovely this weekend folks. Sun, hot, pool fine, BBQ sizzled, and I couldn't have wished for more. However, I think that a waterproof outfit may well be in order for the week ahead. But on the bright side the current state of play is stormy for Saturday. Given the size of the circuit this could sort the men from the boys with dry at one end and wet at the other.
One thing that hasn't been mentioned; forget the sun and the rain, but for a few weeks now we have had consistently strong winds. The forecast is 10mph, but then what, based on experience, do they know? I went away Friday with Metéo France promising a lovely week right through the race. Now I'm back from Bordeaux and the forecast is rain. Hey ho. But at least remember to bring strong pegs with you. You won't need them of course, or we hope not, but better not used than a tent blown away.
Three things we know for certain:
1. At some point, the sun will be so hot you'll burn within 10mins.
2. At some point, it'll rain so hard your boots fill up within 10mins.
3. At some point, you'll be so drunk you won't care either way.
Number three negates the first two points, so crack on and bring on the weekend!
