The storm destroyed our camp. Two of us held onto our biggest gazebo and it just ripped it apart in our hands and we're not small. We had lots of smug looks from the grumpy people on the campsite the next morning but a few hours ghetto engineering and we had everything repaired.
I've never seen anything like it in my life. The lightning was every few seconds and the rain was the heaviest I've ever experienced.
The only good thing about it was that I had no hay fever the next two days.

The storm was amazing, we were still up so we could hang on to the gazebo to stop it blowing away!

I slept through the entire event aside from hearing a bit of rain on the tent - bit of a shame really, the lightning was apparently quite a good show!
I suppose that's the result of getting up at 3:30am, driving down, getting everything ready and then consuming a white wine box
