We run the circuit each year. 9:30 Thursday morning.
We meet at the gate to the Team Langoustine campsite inside the Tertre Rouge bend.
Winner gets a T shirt and a bucket of ice down your shorts.

I havn't experienced the winning bit, but after nearly 9 miles in heat the ice is heaven!

I'd be interested in running a lap, although circumstances dictate that I'll probably be running on the Wednesday morning. I could possibly do Thursday but a combination of being hungover and a general lack of physical fitness means I'll almost certainly end up last.

I have my concerns about whether you can run a full lap (ie. past the pits and under the Dunlop bridge), or whether you detour down the public roads that run past the tribunes on the pit straight.

I've tried to walk the down to the pits from the Porsche Curves several times over the years but have been stopped (seemingly at different points every year) by security - the last thing I need is to be turned around just before the finish, I can only just run eight miles as it is!

Can anyone who has previously run a lap shed any light on whether you can complete a full lap past the pits?

Similar related idea - i really want to cycle a lap. If i just set to early on Thursday AM, does anyone know if i'll be allowed to make it round the track proper?

I have run a curcuit on a Thursday and Friday for about 4 years. Just look like a driver(s) out for a run, and just climb over/under any obstacles. Security just looked at me. No Le Mans for me, 24 hour endurance running event strangely appropriate1

I'm sure you can walk / run or cycle the whole circuit on Friday afternoon too?

if anyone is interested, we have a lovely run round the full circuit on the sunday straight after the race.

I think the Porsche tshirts helped as police not only let us through loses roads.. they even opened barriers up and clapped as we ran through!
