I got €1.35 per £ at Co-op Travel last Saturday, well happy with that!
Thats about par. Ordered mine today at ASDA, tried Sainsburys but website annoyed me so took the hit and spent about 60p more for £500. I can't see any decision next week being good for the rate, uncertainty is never a good thing, got mine banked and ready to go.Anyone in London may want to consider these guys: https://www.bestforeignexchange.com/fast_track_new... - currently 1.374

I'm not saying they are dodgy, but my works firewall flagged this as a dodgy site, so be vigilant!sidekickdmr said:

Travelex were offering 1.375 this afternoon and apparently are having a Euro happy hour from 11am-1pm tomorrow (Thursday 21st) so probably worth popping by their website for a look.
Just popped on as its passed 11am, the happy hour rate is 1 GBP = 1.3732 EUR So worse than yesterday's non happy hour rate

I've only seen 1.4 (as a tourist rate) for about an hour or so at bestforeignexhange a month or so ago, so the rates now are pretty good.
Every increase in foreign beer tokens helps.

I was told by two friends who work for high street banks that the best way to do it is pull cash out on your debit card in lump sums from cash points abroad.
If you withdraw over about £150 a time the bank gives you as close to the commercial rate as you'll get for the exchange.
1.41 now. Wowsers.

That's what I've always done. I normally pull €200 at a time from a hole in the wall. Do it on a DEBIT card, because you will be charged interest from the moment you withdraw it on a credit card.
