......i will leave a small deposit in his travel bed.....
No such thing as a small deposit at Le Mans. Fry-ups and BBQ's beer and cheese....Now this could work.....or a variation of it
I actually like the rural French (not Parisians though). I find the vast majority friendly, welcoming and helpful. They live in a beautiful country with great food and wine.

I really don't know how this is still allowed in 2015.
don't know about 2015 but i've been to 2 CDC's in the last few months, Muller Wiseman Bridgwater, DHL Mothercare Crick and lo and behold each site has a Stainless Steel version in their 'traps', obviously not just a French thing?when you've got to go, you've GOT to go!
I can't remember where the 'sock' story came from, but I got sent it - now posted at the following link for posterity!

No, that's not where it is from originally...I think they have just re-printed too.
I'll go back over my (very old) Le Mans correspondence and see if I can locate the original source.
Ha! I found the original - boy, did I have to dig through a load of old emails!

Anyone have any advice on positioning ? Last year I had to balance on one leg while holding the door closed with the other, both arms supporting me on the back wall, after a few splats they were in.
That looks like trap one in Houx, I used that the first year I ever went to Lemons in 2008, I wore shorts so didn't have a problem. The trick is to put your feet on those grips, drop shorts as pictured on page 1 and get on with it.
Mr poop soon gets flushed away no matter how bad that spicey sausage was you ate that morning.
