I really wouldn't go on my own the first time (or personally ever). A group of friends camping/drinking over a few days is really what makes it in my opinion.

Die hard race fans may go on their own but other than that it's all about the whole experience for me.

I am driving down solo on Thursday evening going on the Eurotunnel, I will be driving back on Sunday evening or Monday morning and have a spare seat as my pals have changed their plans. Oh, by the way its an Manual Aston Martin DBS Casino Royale. Let me know if you want a seat.

There's a damn good offer, I'm going on my own this year and if I hadn't already booked ferry etc I'd be PM-ing you right now.
