What's on your Le Mans Road Trip playlist?
Looking for some inspiration for the long drive.
So far my highlights include:
Chili Peppers - Road Trippin (of course!)
Dire Straits - Sultans of Swing
Eagles - Hotel California
Jamiroquai - Travelling without moving

My trip always begins with the opening track from the Cannonball Run, then whatever takes my fancy ranging from Public Enemy, Metallica, AC/DC, Motley Crue to a bit of De La Soul and Rolling Stones. Driving on my own this year so get to play it very loud and enjoy my drum solos and air guitar.

Ha ha, I thought I was the only one! East Bound and Down by Jerry Lee.

Can't lose with the soundtrack theme from 633 Squadron either.

That is somewhere on the 20 CDs I have burned to feed into the old school CDR23 in my pork.

The one with some of my most favourite driving tracks starts with On Days Like These, She Sells Sanctuary and The Chain.

More esoteric stuff is La Mer by Charles Trenet, Tonight the Streets are Ours by Richard Hawley, Headlights on the Parade by The Blue Nile and Pacific 231 by Honegger for when I'm going like a train.

If you're leaving early enough how about The Naked & Famous - Hearts Like Ours for the following lyrics which seem appropriate given what's about to ensue!

Half awake and almost dead
Keeping empty beds elsewhere
We're yet to bleed
We're yet to bleed
All the time and energy

not very original but Le Mans wouldn't be the same without 'Thunder Struck' by AC/DC
