I think the trick is to get up early - CBW / Friday service and back in camp before lunch.

Definitely my plan for next year.
This, we left gbw as it started to rain, popped to Carrefour and went for a drive around the circuit. We came across a campsite entrance before you get back to the circuit complex and there were crowds of piss heads lining the road, thankfully there were a couple of Police stop there so I was able to pass through unhindered. Didn't feel nice though.

Didn't see any bad behaviour myself this year, though Friday was a bit of s washout, drove to the GBW in the atom regardless but left when we saw traffic die down a bit as was a nightmare to get out.

Was staying at tetra rouge and will try and stay there again next year but they really need another shower block!

I've been going since 2003 and at first I thought it had improved this year. Getting around on Thursday/into Friday morning was very quiet. The first year ever I've got into Le Mans without being asked for a burnout. Just a couple of people asking for me to rev it. Whilst eating at Arnage high St on Thursday night it was almost dead. I thought there was an increase in supercars there this year, more like it was when I first started going, there also looked to be a lot of CRS there this year too so figured that may have been helping, but.....

Roll on Friday night. We got one of the last trams back to the circuit, walking back from the tram stop towards the Beausejour roundabout and the road was quiet but it was clear it had been pretty stty at some point by the amount of broken glass and crap we had to walk around. Then by the time we got to where we were camping, you could see and hear all the st going on at the roundabout along with the noise of the fireworks being let off along the road and of breaking bottles.

Friend of mine was with his brother and trying to get back to our site after being in the parade. Fortunately somebody stopped him before Beausejour and strongly advised him to turnaround because people were ripping bits off cars down there and generally trying to trash them. Having already seen a police van infront getting slapped and rocked, With nowhere to go, they turned round and headed back to Arnage and parked up on somebody's drive, who were very accommodating. Sometime between 2-3am he walked back down to see if it had quietened down. It had but was still no place to take a car you care about. He got talking to a group of Brits and said he had his brother and his car stuck up the road and they basically blocked traffic approaching from the other direction so that he could come down and in without stopping on the wrong side.

Whilst I agree with comments about getting back mid afternoon latest and have always avoided areas known to be bad, I think this time it kicked off in areas that don't normall get too bad.

Having been at the ring 24h a few weeks ago, there is so much difference
Hey that was us who directed / stopped the traffic !
I agree, it was not at all nice on the roundabout - the mob that were bouncing the que of people entering the campsite was savage.
Definitely one to avoid next time!
Anyway glad he got the 'vette back unscathed.

It was pretty much rained off on Friday this year I thought. We went out in the Jagfire on Friday morning in the rain and ended up in a little car show, with no issues whatsoever.

Its the same bit of advice that always crops up - if you have to go out on Friday, do it in the morning.

I wouldnt ever consider going out in the car on Friday evening, thats when drinking occurs!

Outside Bleu Sud campsite on the main road there was plenty of "good" action going on, burnouts and the likes, from about 6pm through until just after dark. No trouble there at all. In recent years the police have closed it all down and stopped all the fun but there was hardly any police about this year. I didn't see any trouble at all - thought Friday was pretty good this year.

I'm afraid there was trouble there, 2 mouth-breathing brits sprayed beer inside my Elise at about 6pm and I doubt I was alone. First time I've ever come face to face with this sort of behaviour in 9 years of going. I've been quite happy to "play" before ( https://youtu.be/7qDEfXjSLZ4 ) - not so keen now, I can tell you.
