As per the Title really -
won an all inclusive for two trip back in a raffle on the Village on the curvesand need to get organised -
Makes up for the cracked screen from a stone shot out of the tyres of the Orange Lambo on the wAy down and a dent in the rear quarter panel from a flying Gazebo on Thursday night I suppose !

Our hotel owner waved a piece of paper at us yesterday and said the dates were 18/19th June and did we want to confirm our booking - yes please.

Monaco Grand Prix and Monaco Classic both put back a week next year. Le Mans Classic is 9th / 10th July 2016 and is usually 3 weekends after the main event then by my reckoning 18th / 19th June 2016 sounds about right also Canadian F1 should be 12th June and FIA don't let them clash anymore wink

(P.S. Sunday 19th June 2016 is Fathers Day, some people might have issues with that!)

Fathers Day would be fine but the 19th is my son's birthday. No 24h for me next year frown

I heard the dates announced over the weekend, possibly on Radio Le Mans and was indeed 18th/19th June.

Euro footie Championships start on Fri June 10th so that may have something to do with it

Bear in mind that the Euros are in France, so ferry crossings will be more expensive and get booked up early with footy traffic also.
So get your crossings reserved ASAP.

I feel your pain. My son's birthday is 9th June so usually it's difficult for me. I took him with me in 2009 to celebrate his 1st birthday with his 5 year old brother biggrin

He's been badgering me to take him too see more racing so we will be going to either the BTCC at Rockingham or the BTRA at Silverstone. He would not enjoy the 24h much as I'd love to take him. He'd enjoy it for an hour or maybe two and then he'd be a bored and crotchety 9 year old for the next 22 hours. He's also at school and I'm not jamming it into two days with overnight drives as that way neither of us will enjoy it. Will just have to do the Classic in July instead.

My 11 year old was annoyed that school got in the way as usual and I wasn't going to squeeze it in over the weekend either so I took him to the Dunlop 24hr at Silverstone in April to keep him kind of happy wink
I imagine we'll be going Silverstone or Rockingham for a few club events or maybe BTCC / F1 this summer. Enjoy whatever you get to smile

The dates are perfect! My son who nearly always comes with me was born on 18 June, and in 2016 the 19th is Father's Day. This is a repeat of 1996: that year I think the 18th was on the Sunday so his birthday, Father's day and Le Mans 1996 coincided. It was the first time we went to Le Mans and it happened after I gave him a birthday present choice: Le Mans of Silverstone for the F1 GP. He chose well!.

We went this year and it was 20 years since our first, although we have missed the odd one or two.

R.

Looking good for 18th / 19th June 2016 for Le Mans 24 hour as Silverstone is advertising British Grand Prix for 26th June. Here's a link to the full leaked F1 2016 calendar:

Le Mans 24 hour race = 24th weekend of the year. At least it allows me to go to the Prescott Jaguar day in 2016 which this year I couldn't.

I got an email from the ACO a couple of weeks backs saying it was the 18/19 June. Can't find it now or I would copy/paste.

Isn't it the 25th weekend in 2016 if 18th / 19th?

Just noticed that on the http://www.24h-lemans.com/en/ website it now says 18th and 19th June 2016. That's good enough for me smile
