I am looking forward to visiting LM again. (last time in 2006) Great cars from the UK as usual, you guys make this a great event, I hope to see and hear them in June.

Can't wait to see some of these cars in the flesh either, I'll be heading down to the Great British Welcome on Friday morning so will hopefully get to see some of you and your cars there.

The 02 is booked in for the British welcome. Looks a fair way away from going at the moment though! Still trying to decide on a solid colour for it!

Bummer frown ..........biggrin
Wondering how you're going get this beauty on Tertre Rouge unhurt. Both routes, via the main-entrance or the one under the viaduct near Tertre Rouge corner are very rough, with potholes a plenty. Does it have a lifting system?

yikes NO! I asked on BeerMountain what the site was like and was informed it was ok for low cars? The car even grounds out between the carriages on the eurotunnel train!

you will be ok, just take it easy, the route from the main/museum entry is not that bad but your passenger might want to walk to reduce weight and look out for nasty potholes for the last hundred yards

Just out of curiosity, how do you get to the TL campsite by car?

It is on the inside of the circuit so you travel past the entry to TR and if the mulsanne is closed just after the roundabout head down a small hill on your right at the bottom turn right under the track/mulsanne and the entry is on your right again. If the track is closed then head onto the mulsanne straight and then turn sharp right down onto the same road and the gate you want is right in front of you

ALL EXPLAINED HERE smile

Ok my Son did a Photoshop layout of the campsite smile

To get to this site the Main Entrance is two large steel doors just after the tunnel on Chemin aux Boeufs opposite the M&M Stadium, the ACO Campsite pass calls the site Hunaudieres.
Once you are through the main entrance gate you follow the road round to the Campsite Entrance, again there are another two smaller steel doors and English security staff. this is the only way in and out of the site (even if you are on foot).
Everyone gets a wrist band, no wrist band no entrance!
There are showers and male and female toilets.
Team Langoustine also arrange for a Burger van to be on site so if you need a pasty or Bacon roll there is always something available (not the best quality, but its there nevertheless) there is also a large marquee with a small bar that has draft beer and bottled real ale, A TV and power, so if you need to charge a laptop or phone they will let you free of charge.
The site area has a slight slope on it the lowest area being down by the main road and the highest area being the site entrance. It has good drainage.

+ Points,
Easy to get in and out of by car at any time.
Very Secure, Perfect for Supercars, Normally there will be the odd Mclaren MP412C, F40 and Lambos on site.
Mainly English people on site but the race Marshals do have access to the showers and Toilets.
Not normally a place you would find wild parties or techno music. Campers respect each other.
TL Operate a football type card system, Yellow card warning to Keep noise down or unruly conduct
Red card you would not be welcome back.
Very easy to walk to the tram for the Friday evening pilgrimage to the town centre. and very close to the Tet Rouge Stella Bar. where a band will be on at some point and food available.

- points
Its a slog up hill to the main grandstands. Comfy Shoes needed for the walking.
Campsite Fills up fast.
Not the cheapest site but Great Security and peace of mind leaving items in tents.

Note : Just my opinion, I am not part of TL management, just a happy camper.
One other thing, if you look on the Photo you will see a cluster of blue tents on the right hand side of the campsite. If you have been to Le mans before and have ever purchased one of those lanyard radios, the good looking young ladies that sell them reside here beer

Having taken down a Z4M, Cayman S Sport and C63 in previous years, reality has bitten this year and it's a family wagon - at least I'll have plenty of space for booze!

Collected my latest ride and chariot for June yesterday. Seemed a bit mad flying to Scotland and then doing a 500 mile drive home but it's a good way to bond with a new toy! I'm a 911 newbie so have gone for the 'light' option. Warned the lady wife that to be considerate for a change I was only picking up a sensible hatchback smile

I'll be taking my 4th car in as many years. Having been there and back in a smart Roadster Coupe, a Honda Civic Type R and last year in a Mazda3 derv, this year its this:
