Like the title says.
Would you think that 50 miles is too far to drive between Le Mans and the weekend accommodation in the Mayenne?

Cheers.

Not if you stay at the circuit in the Saturday night. Get a parking pass and have a nap in the car

Agree with the above.

Done several years staying in a hotel Friday and Sunday nights 130 KM north of Le Mans, and sleep in the car Saturday night having booked a space in Parking Blanc. Worth having a tribune seat too for the added comfort. Note: leave the hotel early Saturday to arrive and get parked by about 9:30 to avoid the major traffic getting to the circuit.

I agree with the comments above. Kip / nap at the circuit.

That is exactly what I do Corbeliere. I travel in from just north of Mayenne town, either across country past Sille le Guillaume or down to Laval and then East on either the autoroute or the RN.

It is an easy run in - if needed it is an easy run back mid race. If you travel in on the Saturday morning, leave before 7am to beat the worst of the queues when you arrive at the circuit.

Thanks Skywalker.

Just so you know where I'm coming from, I have a posh B&B in the Mayenne and couldn't decide on advertising it specifically for the 24HR as it's about an hour and a half away.

Maybe I will nearer the time.

I very much hope that running your B+B doesn't stop you from getting along to the race if that's your thing.

And thanks also for clarifying the nature of your post.

Best wishes.

I know that the Relais at the Gue de Sellle between Jublains & Evron tends to have some significant automobiliery in the car park for Race Week.

I had an option for a chambre d'hôtes some time back and always though it a potential, 'obvious' option.
Not eveyone likes a campsite life, particularly when there are creature comforts to be had.

Bon chance with the project.

Hi, we do 35 miles from Gite to circuit, and don't find it too bad. We come away late on the Saturday night, usually from Arnage, after spending the day at the cicuit, and head back mid morning to Mulsanne. We've taken to finishing on one of the corners now. Only down side I've ever had was getting pulled over for a ticket on the N road, so stick to the autoroute back now as far as possible, and watch the speed !

Hi.

It shouldn't stop us getting there. This year we turned up at the CBW at Saint Saturnin in our Conti GT and were asked to take part in the official cavalcade into Le Mans. What a fantastic buzz that was.
Let's hope the weather is kinder next year.

Actually stayed at the Gue de Selles when we first looked around here 10 years ago.
Nice restaurant!

I know what you mean about campsites. The last time I stayed in a tent was on military training on the wet and wintery moors.
