.

Want to go to this show but the tickets are £23 plus £1.75 transaction fee. bit steep for a show half the size of NEC.

Anybody know of any discount codes to reduce my outlay of 4 tickets.

Sorry to nip in here, but how good is this show? I know it's a classic, but what sort of stuff is likely to be there? What format does it take?

Last year it was excellent. A small show but with some quality cars, plus a central roadway with a roundabout t each end, and F1 and significant classics roaring up and down.

Great day out, and the Excel is a pretty nice exhibition hall with lot of cafe's and restaurants, plus parking very close by (£15 a day multi-storey)

I have heard they are doubling it in size. I'm going again as this years was really good.

Great road, the one with the roundabouts at each end! Nice a quiet for a top speed test wink

unfortunately Suzi-airhead-Perry is attending this year.
At least Jodie Kidd will offset the vacant breeze with a brain and talent

Got tickets for the saturday, but having never been to a show like this before I have a question.

What do people do for lunch/dinner? Are there places inside the Excel like the O2 or places nearby?

Taking it up there tomorrow.
No rain forecast.

Not been to ExCel before, but would expect the usual, plenty of places to get something to eat, reasonably long queues, high prices. If you can, I'd recommend taking some sarnies.

Excel is BAD at lunchtime, I was there last week for the bike show, it was a zoo to get food. I would recommend heading out of excel, east, by about 200m and going to the Fox pub at connought bridge, or to the bar at the Hilton, or to the excellent Chinese Yi Ban at the regatta centre.

Eating inside Excel, if you can find a seat is a plastic knife and fork job with a paper plate for £30.
