Hi all
Attempting to book through the aco site now for 6 of us and was wondering if parking is model specific if you just choose parking on the site? Basically I'm nervous I'll mess the whole thing up! Am I better off going through 1st tickets for the whole thing - I don't want to cock it up!
Accommodation booked elsewhere btw.
Any help appreciated!!!

From my experience over many visits...

Parking is not model specific. However, there's a number of car clubs, eg Morgan, whose members do book spaces all together (especially for Le Classic Le Mans) and I assume it's possible to join in one or be near one of these if desired.

Most car parks are open to everyone. However, Parking Blanc (PB) seems to be for ACO members only, although I notice that a number of ticket agencies are selling parking spaces for PB. PB is ticket only: you need to pre-book and turning up on the day without a ticket will not get you entry. Note that PB is not a place to pitch a tent, so no camping allowed. Sleeping in the car is fine and I've done so every time I've been to Le Mans.

Parking Bleu is close to PB and pitching a tent there seems OK. Again, I think (but not sure) pre booking a car and tent is required.

Parking Rouge is usually available on a turn up and pay basis.

There are other parking areas but I don't have any experience/knowledge for them.

Just for the record, son and I are at Le Classic Le Mans 2016 based in Parking Blanc.

R.

it depends on your plans, the make specific parking is run by the car clubs but if you are camping you will need a camping place and these need to be booked and include a space for your car. On the saturday you can move the car to the specific area's and either leave them there or move them back to the camp site latter. If you are staying of site then you will need to drive direct to the area's allotted to your make again best to contact the clubs concerned. Some car makes have specific camping area's like triumph and the triumph car area is just outside Tertre rouge camping so very handy. To get your car to the allotted area's you will need GE tickets as they are all inside the ticket area

Thanks all!
We are staying off-site and have 2 old Porsches, an old Ferrari (potentially) and an old Aston - I have a 930 - do I contact Porsche Club France for marque parking?

You do in fact have to contact Porsche Club France but they are quite late with the announcement if you let me have your e-mail we will notify you of information when it is announced.

We are PCGB members and are the preferred private site provider for the club.

The Porsche Owners Club parking zone is pretty impressive, not only to they sort the cars by model they also park them very very precisely with arrow straight rows and even spacing.

Yes, I remember from 2012 - that's why I'm off to Autofarm to get some bodywork bits attended to!

Hi I have booked a package for the Le Mans Classic with Porsche Club France which includes on-site club parking for my Porsche which apparently I can leave there for the weekend (hopefully secure)
I have also booked separately with ACO camping on the Epinettes site and intend to arrive on the Thursday.

As I have not camped at Le Mans before I would appreciate some advise:

As I will not be leaving my on the campsite - how do I get access to it - i.e. can I walk in with my tent and utilise the full 35m2 (there will be 4 of us, either with one big tent or two smaller ones)

Do we get issued with wristbands?

Any information would be appreciated

Thanks

I think you're looking at it the wrong way round.
You park with your tent on your camping pitch, your Epinettes pass allows that, but drive over to Porsche to display your car with them.
Then you have your car with you at night or when not with Porsche. Don't know Epinettes at all mind you, I think it's new. You're definitely in the right area though, for the Classic you want to be anywhere around the central areas as that's where it all happens.

You will need a one General Entry ticket per person to get in and out of Circuit. Epinettes campsite is only a short walk from where Porsche club parking area is on the Bugatti circuit.
your 35m2 will be enough room for two small or one bigger tent and one car, obviously you can only use one camping permit for one car they usually put the reg on camping ticket when you first arrive at campsite.
If it was me I would take car back to campsite on the Evening

Here is the Porsche club parking from 2012, what you see here is just a fraction of it there is the same again behind me , literally thousands of Porsche's, must have been the largest numbered marque there

All booked for this now, can't wait! smile

Will be ferrying from Ireland to Pembroke, then down to Plymouth and across to Roscoff this time, so a nice little road-trip involved. Camping in Bleu Nord again. Hopefully a little less rain than 2014, although that still failed to dampen either the spirits or the BBQ
