Would I be correct in thinking the tram line is being extended to Arnage for 2016? I've heard it talked about but cannot find any info.

thanks

By the look of things Tramway 3 is due to open at some point in 2016 but ends a bit of a distance from Arnage. I imagine the Arnage bus will connect with the main station at the end of the line though which might make it quicker into town. Here's a map I found:

Imagine you could quite easily get a bus to Station 6 too.

T3 is an express bus route isn't it?

It would appear you're right by this translation off the web (I just saw T3 on the map and assumed it was another tram smile )

Line 3 of BRT Le Mans is a proposed bus rapid transit (BRT) that will be operated by Setram, whose commissioning is scheduled for 2016 between the North Station stops in Le Mans, and Wood Joli, in the town of Allonnes, borrowing much of Demorieux Boulevard.

The material
The urban community of Le Mans (Le Mans Métropole) decided to buy ten bus Crealis 18 of Iveco for this line With an option of three additional buses.

The line
The new line called T3 resume the route of the line 16. To distinguish this specific bus line vis-à-vis other bus lines, vehicles will be assigned who will receive the inscription on the front and side

Interesting, and I see it appears to go via their office up by the renault and toyota garages, but that's still about 4k from the top of arnage village by the esso according to google maps (which is about twice the distance from the porker curves roundabout to the main entrance

It is the bus route where they have taken 2 lanes of the road and made a bus route down the middle of the road.
You now drive over speed bumps and through 30kph limits where the stops are as the bus shelters are in the middle of the road like the tram stops.
