Hi all , has anyone booked track laps for Classic Le Mans separate from a package deal which includes camping and entry tickets etc. Am very interested in doing this again but have already booked accommodation .

There are 5 911''s in our party so the cars qualify for entry but where can you book to get on the circuit and also get to park on the infield along with other Porsches. Think this bit is for French cars only but have seen cars with English plates on them in this area of the Bugatti circuit?

Has anyone managed to achieve either laps, parking or both for the Classic would be grateful for any sort of info as the clock is counting down now and July is not that far away?

Thanks Tony.

Tony,

I'm travelling down in a convoy of 911s too and we have camping booked elsewhere.

Pistonheads are a 'club' this year and will have an infield parking area plus a provision of parade laps. 1st Tickets are administering the club stuff on behalf of PH. I got in touch with them about 3 weeks ago and booked parade laps (£160 each) and club parking (free) for all 3 of our cars. Availability was limited though so you best get your act together.

I've always found 1st Tickets very good to deal with, give them a call and I'm sure they'll help.

Cheers
Tim

Also, if you're desperate to park with Porsches you can go through Porsche Club FR but this was very 'French' to deal with. I'd suggest going with PH, there'll be at least 3 911s in there (ours!).

Tony,

No problem - I hope there's some places left and I'll keep an eye out for your car, it's a beauty!

Is there an obligation to wear helmets for these track laps?

What he said. They are not track laps, they are "parade laps", and therefore no safety equipment is required. Just show up with whatever you happen to have brought

Ive used Granstand Motorsports for the track laps in the past they usually have plenty of spaces and a nice little hospitality tent
