Good Evening all,

Previously I have attended Le Mans with the better half or mates, but this year no one wants to go!

So, I ask the question.. If anyone has a spare seat, or a member of your group pulls out and are happy for me to join you please let me know!!

thanks

Ben

It might be worth posting in your regional section as well as I'd guess you'd ideally like to hitch a ride with someone locally or to find someone whose crossing over locally rather than say using the Tunnel or ferry at Dover (if your profile is upto date?)

I might have my co-pilot seat vacant in our 3 car convoy (l will know in the next 2 weeks whether the one friend is in/out) & we're going with 1st Tickets & their 'glamping' option to Bleu Nord - I'll PM you the details in the next day or so although we're travelling overnight from Portsmouth on the Wednesday returning late afternoon on the Monday thumbup

I wonder how many others are either going on their own or would like to join a larger group?

My wife and I had our first trip to the 24h in 2014 and it was just the two of us. We had a few drinks and some food with some of the others on our camp site but most people kept themselves to themselves and TBH we could have done with going with some more mates! - Unfortunately most of ours either aren't into racing enough to want to go to Le Mans or couldn't make it. We're actually in the same situation this year and are staying at White Rabbit Racing (one of the private sites, great location near the Porsche Curves) again. I'm not sure about current availability at WRR but if you decided to come you'd be welcome to join us...or if you're camping elsewhere we might be able to meet up with you...unless you look like an axe murderer, in which case we'll run away! biggrin

I had the same situation in 2008.

Drove down on my own (previous years with friends) and camped at Club Valan by the airport.

4 chaps let me sit under their tent canopy when it rained a little.

I now have some of the finest friends I have ever met!!!!

Try it.

If you fancy visiting the "light side" I`m in Garage Vert again and have plenty of Le Mans friends from all over the UK,europe, US and Aus there and yes I travel down on my own. It`s a really great site and on the way to the Tramway. Send me a PM for contact .

Any soloists going from Bristol, it's looking likely I'm going on my own this year and as usual have left it a bit late !

If any of you soloists are around Houx, you're more than welcome to join my group for a cold beer and some TV viewing. We'll be in the Northeast corner (near the entrance), with a Mercedes Sprinter van (plus a few cars) and a couple of marquees.
