What channel is the race likely to be on? Eurosport? Motors? Anything else?

Obviously Radio LM for commentary and banter but I need visuals too............

It should be on Eurosport, which is what I watched it on in 2014, when I wanted a break from Le Mans.

First year of not going since 2012, so watching it on the (rather expensive) WEC app instead.

As a standard Freeview user, I think there aren't many other options

It SHOULD be on Eurosport 1 or eurosport UK.

If you have Sky its on one of the other, and its an HD one. They sometimes change between 1 or the other for an hour now and then, if you record it on sky+, you have to go through it all to tell it to record where it jumps.

Did this last year while i was away, watched it all in a couple of nights when got home and wife was away for a week smile

I have informed her that weekend of the race, i probably wont go to bed on saturday night smile I got a bit of a look.

Thanks chaps - see if I already have Eurosport on Sky. If not, it will be sorted.

I won't be going to bed either and nor will I be driving 30 miles through the pitch black French countryside at 2.00 in the morning when every conceivable form of wildlife is out and about, looking for a snack in the middle of the road.......

You can watch it through the WEC website via subscription.

Or on the FIA WEC app (which you can AirPlay to an AppleTV if you have one).

Won't be RLM commentary on the app though so you'll still need that alongside.

Bought a bottle of Crystal Head vodka which I will be taking the first taste of the moment the flag goes down on the start of the race before settling back to enjoy it on Eurosport.........again!

Agree, and then point a web browser to Radio Le Mans, for an authentic Le Mans commentary experience :-)

Does anyone have any experience of using the WEC app on an iPad, connecting to the TV with a HDMI connector output... is that a good solution? I have Eurosport player on iOS which works fairly well, it just appears as a small-ish box in the middle of the TV instead of filling the whole screen.

I've used the WEC app (and also website, which I thought worked more reliably) via a Chromecast onto the tv from an Android tablet. Probably not much more than an HDMI cable to buy one.
