Chaps and chapesses! It's nearly here for another year! Last year was our first time on TR after many in Maison Blanche and one or two others. We met a few interesting characters, as seems to be standard for LM. Are any PHers going to be staying there? It would be cool to meet up for a beer or nine one evening in the campsite thumbup

We'll be there, normally half way along the back wall, all in estates this year - black A4 Avant, blue C350e, Range Rover and blue Accord Tourer. Discreet PH smileys on the mirrors and rear bumpers of the Honda and the Audi.

As always we will be arriving at TR on tuesday, we are in a large blue daimler and usually camp on the back wall directly opposite the main enterance, as others arrive there should be a brightly painted ldv camper van, a harley davidson and other vehicles not sure at the moment. As most people in TR have camped there for years we know most of them by now and will happily show you arround the site and introduce you to the main party area's.

Good stuff smile Not as many replies as I was expecting, for some reason I thought TR would be very popular with PH LMers.

I don't know where abouts we will stay inside TR. Last year we were sort of in the middle of it, facing the back wall. It was a pretty good spot except being under the trees meant we weren't able to get any TV coverage as the satellite signal was blocked.

It sounds like lots of you guys arrive very early in the week. We will arrive on Wednesday mid/late afternoon, hopefully there will still be a decent choice of plot.

There will be four of us, one motorhome and one car (BMW 530i estate). Come say hi smile

Yes I'll be there. My red gazebo will be very easy to spot in the dark, when my chandelier is burning biggrin

Fuel permitting, Team Absinthium will have seven vehicles and a number of PHers on Tertre Rouge.
Big satellite TV for the football on Thursday as well. We usually erect our viewing platform (bunk bed) down near the fence.

LaFee for choice, especially the aged Parisian variety.
Our special camping absinthe fountain dribbles ice cold water through burning sugar cubes sitting on our antique spoons over the green goodness.

Hoping there'll still be a spot for us when we arrive Thursday lunchtime from Zeebrugge, Silver Volvo Estate dragging tin tent with two more 50 somethings at TR for the first time after trying just about every other site in Le Mans over the years. We'll just be grateful for somewhere to pitch. Cold beer service guaranteed for neighbours!

Met GT6 and friend at Silverstone in The Wing. See you there at some point.

Well we will be there, tuesday so just look for a blue v8 supercharged daimler, chances of there being another one of those in France let alone tr campsite will be zero. Might not be in the camp thursday afternoon as we usually go to the hotel de france that day, but we may be resorting to fracking for oil by then if the petrol stations are closed. Thursday evening our little group should be almost complete with daughter arriving around midnight, but should have an Old LDV van (brightly painted and a harley davidson, warm red wine will be available as usual and perhaps cold beers if the fridge in the van works
