Well pleased... drove past the line at Eurotunnel caught a ferry two housr earlier than my scheduled one in Dunkerque... and a return ticket (Sunday to Monday cost me £88--- smug grin bd)
Same here. Although missed the earlier sailing by seconds so had to wait an hour or so in the terminal (there is nothing in there apart from a few vending and arcade machines.

Booked on the 16:36, arrived at 16:00 (to be turned back onto the motorway by police after queuing for ages), checked in at 21:20, managed to get blag our way on to an earlier train than we were supposed to (the 02:25 departure D or E train? - I dread to to think when the N train actually left) and arrived home 05:00 Uk time.

I know we should have arrived earlier on a busy day but nearly 10 hours delay beats my previous record by a long way.

How on earth did that accident happen, saw the damage as we moved out of the holding pen on Sunday night.

Didnt have the delays of some here, however used Eurotunnel for the first time to save time! 2 1/2 hour delay on way out on Wednesday (effectively 3 1/2 hours as arrived an hour early for check in to get something to eat. Only 30 minute late Sunday evening but again was there an hour early to get food, instead of which was in a queue if traffic the whole time.

Arrived at Calais 16:30ish
Heard motorway was at standstill, so moved from Cite Europe to Eurotunnel (avoiding motorway) around 18:15
After sitting in the holding area, got to check in around the same time our train was booked to depart (20:06)
(spoke to lots of people, saw lots of lovely cars, lots of Lotuses)
Got through passport and parked in terminal 20:45
Boarding L M N O when we parked. Our ticket said C (sob sob)
Cried even more when - around midnight - C first displayed on the screens as a 05:20 departure
A & B were called fairly close together, then C was called on the tanoy barely 10 mins later, queued to get out of car park, then to my surprise I joined the trackside holding area to find I was driving straight down an empty lane, through a green light onto a train?
Departed about 00:45 (French time)
Arrived home 02:25 (BST)

I decided to try Dover/Calais ferry this year and regretted it when faced with a 3 hour delay on Thursday morning. However, when we passed the Eurotunnel queues on Sunday late afternoon, and read your awful delays, I am thankful for the speed we climbed on a ferry. No more than 45 mins in a queue.

If i learnt anything about the Eurotunnel yesterday, it's that Flexi Plus tickets are worth every penny. The amount of people we snook past and hours saved actually made me feel guilty for having the ticket!
I don't see how that would've made any difference, as we queued for hours on the motorway and holding pen before anyone even checked what booking/ticket type we had..

There was a flexi-plus lane on the extreme left, I saw the PH boys in their RR go through.....

I assumed 'driving in one direction whilst looking in a different one'

Great, sounds like you got a great result.
I have had a case number assigned in a reply to my initial letter but have not heard an outcome yet!

It took a couple of days from when I initially sent the Email to them (Weds IIRC). The reply was a generic one though and they could not answer the individual points that I raised within it. Still it was better than what I was expecting.

Email submitted Sunday, reply received today that I was getting a refund (I'm assuming just of the Calais to Folkestone piece rather than the whole round trip... wink )

Got a reply back from my email today that i sent in 21/6/16
They are going to refund me the return ticket.

They are blaming it on only one tunnel being operative and border checks that started at 13:00hrs

My complaint was submitted on 21/06 and I've only had an automated response so far. Total delay was almost 12 hours (5.5 hours out, 6 hours return)

It was also booked through an agent, so I guess any refund will go to them - will go towards the deposit for next year's trip....

I would expect them to refund you in full. Keep us posted wink
