Fairly sure that they announced on Radio Le Mans when this due to be broadcast on BBC. Does anyone remember or know when it is due to be broadcast?

Any update on when this is on, or have I missed it. Just looked and can't see it on BBC 2 Sunday 11th Sept.

I can't remember the name of the program, but the BBC have shown something previously about Sir Chris Hoy's motoracing exploits. The thing I remember about it is that he didn't plan to become a racing driver. He was doing a trackday in his Lotus, and there was a documentary team filming something for a race team. It's was they who approached him about moving up from trackdays to racing.

Thought that was a great documentary, really enjoyed looking back at the memories of being there, and great to see some of the behind the scenes stuff. Makes me realise how far away June is though...

Copy copy!

Was a really good watch, although you have to feel for his missus, who had to play the sweeper-upper for an all-consuming 12 year cycling career only for him to retire then immediately get submerged in a new sport!

I wonder if it's in the nature of driven individuals that they will always find something to throw themselves into. For a example Sir Ranulph Finnes. He could have left the army and though '"I've done my bit", then settled into a nice job in the city or some such. Instead he found new impossible goals and set about achieving them.

An excellent film, that my wife found as entertaining as I did.

Not sure why they concentrated on the overall position rather than in-class, plus I thought the editing of the chronology was a bit odd, but it was an excellent way of presenting the underlying difficulties of the event to a wide audience.

I mentioned the disjointed chronology as well - made it a bit difficult to work out what was happening sometimes.

It was very interesting right at the end where the retirement of the lead LMP1 Toyota Nissan obviously shocked a lot of other teams - has there ever been a more cruel finish?

It was bonkers - I watched with family non-experts who enjoyed it, but I was trying to give some explanation and I could not follow it until I realised it was footage of the actual race.
