I, and our group, would echo the sentiments about the loss of the GM crepes.
A huge loss to the event. Who else took up ornate black belt origami in order to allow for more liquid content from the self service bottle?
They were available from the crepe stand near the pit entrance. We had one but on Sunday evening after the race. Not GM themselves though.A huge loss to the event. Who else took up ornate black belt origami in order to allow for more liquid content from the self service bottle?
This was my first Le Mans Classic, after three previous trips to LM24. Thoroughly enjoyed the trip, quite a different experience - more relaxed & friendly, quieter campsites (We were in Bleu Nord and our "neighbours" were great and we definitely weren't kept up by any loud music (only loud snoring... eh Ralf?). (A big "hi" to Warwick and Phil (hope you've recovered??) and to Steve and Brian)
Some great cars - too much to see or list, but just about every desirable car you could think of was there, and the club car parks in the middle (just past the Group C racers tent on the infield of the circuit) were a feast to just walk past so many great cars.
A good trip out to the Retro Rides meet at the Château RiveSarthe on the Friday - well worth the trip if they do this again.

Great to meet you Mike and thanks for the help squeezing our Mexico on the pitch despite our rather large tent. Hope you got home without drama too Some great cars - too much to see or list, but just about every desirable car you could think of was there, and the club car parks in the middle (just past the Group C racers tent on the infield of the circuit) were a feast to just walk past so many great cars.

Hi Paul,
Saw your (stunning) Mexico parked up in the services at Stoney Middleton, but by this point if I came up and said "hi" you'd probably start to think I was a stalker or something....
Thanks - got back fine with brake lights - just didn't engage reverse once or indicate on the whole journey from Le Mans to Sheffield (which sounds a lot easier than it was!!)
Great trip - no doubt plans may soon be being talked about over a pint about the next trip....

Anyone else still pining the loss of the Grand Marnier Crap stand or just me?
Yes, and the Tartiflette stalls (although they went a few years ago) - the food and beer have got too expensive now. On Friday we got a "Croc" which looked like it would be a croque-monsieur but turned out to be all the ingredients on a plate but not put together or cooked, and that for the bargain price of €13 - the supermarket on Saturday and Sunday provided a baguette, cheese and ham for around €6 to feed 3 of us. As an old fart I don't think these are changes for good!Edited by andyps on Wednesday 13th July 07:52
