Other than the location itself (which may/may not swing it for you... personally, I've not problem with a little walking so it's much of a muchness) it's hard to assess the merits of one over the other.

Anyone able to share their first hand experience in terms of contention on facilities? general vibe of each? Google isn't throwing up much for Premier Vert.

Where the hell is Premier Vert?!?! New one on me.

Stayed on Bleu Nord and most of the site is civilized with a similar late/loud music group ratio to other sites. The number of toilets is OK but they could do with spreading them around, rather than all grouped in the middle so a small amount of planning required from the far corners - especially if you're on the wrong site of the PistonHeads area so have to walk around it.

Here's the campsite and turning 90 degrees this was the view...

I went on my own and stayed on Premier Vert last year.

Everyone was really friendly, food & facilities were great and access in and out of the circuit was brilliant. I left the circuit a couple of hours after the end of the race and it took 5 minutes to get out onto the public roads - never experienced anything like that at such an enormous event. It's smaller than BN but the location by Tetre Rouge around 100m from the track is what did it for me. Next time I go I'll stay on PV again without any hesitation.

Just to add to this, 1st tickets (who run all PH's camping at LM) now have an official "ask us anything" thread, which you can find here: http://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&a...

They'll be able to give you the details on the two campsites... but as has been said PV is in a better location and is more secluded. I'm a lucky so and so and get to choose which one I stay on, and PV has been my home from home for the last couple of years. It's very nice!

Premier Vert is tucked away at the back of the Bugatti Circuit and extremely close to the Forest Esses (as shown by DanTournay's photos). It is a short walk to the inside of the Tertre Rouge corner, 5 mins from the tram terminus and about 10+ mins from the village.

Here is an aerial view from Google maps, to put it into perspective with other parts of the circuit. The PV camping and parking areas are outlined in red.

Hope this helps

I can recommend PV too, site / toilets / showers felt new, food was spot on, break fast + tea, meaning a quick burger or chip butty would only be needed at lunch.

Randomly, I have a photo from the other way, it didn't rain nonstop, honest... you can hear the action from here, roaring engines, no noise from idiots.
