At 9:03 I landed on the choose your campsite page, clicked on Red and it said 1 left in Expo so I assume I got the last one there.

Due to ACO website problems yesterday, i.e. everything shown as sold out except for Arnage we ended up ordering these rather than having none at all, later on it showed BSJ as having tickets so we ordered these and we now have 5 Arnage 2017 camping tickets available.

The ACO wont accept that there was a problem and wont accept a return.

Just need to recover the face value of 285 Euros which includes Courier to UK.

In the end I phoned the ACO!!! I got through on the second day for members and managed to secure Tribune 16 and camping green. So not what we wanted but I understand that camping blue was virtually sold out to groups and agents before the member's system opened.

What is the benefit of ordering direct rather than through an agent? It is much cheaper? They seem a real headache to deal with from the reports I have read. Membership is quite pricey too isn't it?

Yes getting them from the ACO (or the le mans tourist office) is cheaper but not always easy, the aco membership is now 109 euro's but you get 20.5 euro discount on 6 GE tickets two camping at 15 euro discount and discounts on grandstands so if you are booking for a group you more than cover your costs and get membership for yourself as a reward for your hard work

Only really beneficial if booking for a large group then?

Well even with 4 in a group you can make a saving and compared to charges from some agencies even on just two of you

Have booked through Travel Destinations. Maybe a bit more expensive than other ways but very easy to deal with.

I now have 3 Arnage 2017 Camping tickets left at £53 each, which is what they cost me.

Any questions, just drop me an email to phil24brown@yahoo.co.uk or message 07940 838504.

I can accept PayPal if that helps anyone... Phil

How much would Houx camping have been if I was a member of ACO?

Take it you have to be a member to buy from them?

Quite honestly, Houx tickets are like rocking horse plop. So being a member of the ACO would not have helped.
Although there is a premium, your best bet would be to phone every agency you can and get your name down. You might be lucky.

Already booked on, no problem at all. Expect I paid a premium for them though.

Was just wondering what the book price is?

Houx tickets were 100 euro's for non members and 85 for aco members, but like all the good sites applications far outstrip availability so unless you are high up on the reserved list you will not get much of a look in, the agencies also have limited numbers of each site and again most of those will have been reserved for long term customers. Luckily for me i have now been ordering the same tickets etc for many years so always get what i want but this year they cost me considerably more than last year thanks to the exchange rate

Paid well over the odds then. Oh well, still a great value weekend.

Travel Destinations still have places available, it's just whether you are willing to pay for them.

Hi, for the 5 th year in a row I just went on the ACO site, booked 4 tickets at 82 euros each for the week and 2 expo car passes.
How come others seem to be paying over the odds or struggling to get tickets ?
More than happy to help anyone if I can

Just registered and having a look round.

Looks easy enough. I thought you had to be a member to buy from them hence the agencies being so dominant.

Will try through there next year for the Classic.

Not sold on the membership. Only real benefit I can see is the access, which unless all in the group are members too, makes things difficult.

Never needed to join the ACO membership thing or use any agencies.
It's dead easy just to book then direct with the circuit, no harder than dealing with silverstone etc

Anyone can buy tickets but ACO members get advance access before the ticket site goes live to the public.
ACO members get discounted tickets and access to club lounge and viewing area near the Dunlop bridge. and a goodies pack sent out annually that usually consists of all stats form 24h race 24h program, poster, etc etc,,
Only really beneficial becoming a member if buying for a group. and camping site choice is limited. More choice from agency's but usually more expensive.
