Hello all!!

Another virgin of the Le Mans visiting variety here!

Myself and a friend are heading down from Aberdeen to catch the 1730hrs ferry from Rosyth to Zebrugge on the 16th June arriving in Zebrugge at 1030hrs on the 17th. Then we have the run down to Le Mans to look forward to.

Are there any other Scots making the same trip?

Also, from any veterans there may be out there, is there a recommended route to take through France that will offer a nice mix of great views and nice roads that 'progress' can be made on? We'll be in a Jag XJR 100 so high speed cruising will be the order of the day!

Cheers

Jim

We are doing the Rosyth/Zebrugge ferry as well but we leave on the wednesday @5pm.
Planning to stop half way on thursday to enjoy an afternoon looking around france and then start back on friday morn and hopefully catch the convoy.

yes, i'm another, despite having reservations about going this year due to house sale/move etc, i will be making the journey. from aberdeen, via tunnel then the N138 route, in a stately old charger, 1948 mkVI bentley, kipping at houx annex. this being the 5th consecutive time......i know, its madness.

Also travelling on the 16th on the Rosyth Ferry - Silver Maserati 3200GT - Pistonheads sticker in the rear window.

Around my 8th time, however first in my car and on this route.

Staying at Du Houssay campsite near Arnage.

My mate William is coming down from Fraserburgh in his Noble to join us on my vintage double decker. I think the 2nd half of the trip could be at a more sedate pace!
