Fueling, here or over there??

Last time fuel was slightly cheaper than here, anyone know the current situation?

Better to fill up here, or wait until we've crossed?

Our convoy will be meeting at the 1st petrol station after the Tunnell, but i would wait untill you get inside France a bit as it generally gets cheaper away from the ports to catch us all out

If you've got a larger group I'd recommend filling up in the UK, but otherwise do it over there.

Also bear in mind any cars that really need 97/98 octane, as if you take a scenic route you may see less of it.

Was surprised on my recent jaunt to/from Spain that I was regularly paying EUR70+ to fill up the S3 in France (60 odd litre tank). Its certainly not as cheap as it used to be and seemed more or less the same as the UK.

On the motorways 98 Octane was readily available everywhere, but not so sure about the national roads.

Steer clear of motorway service station sandwiches tho as I was incapacitated for 12 hours chained to a french dunny

will be filling up tuesday night, 18 gallon tank and two 20 litre jerry cans, in an attempt to avoid expensive UK motorway petrol, needs to be done when you get about 16mpg. then same routine in france. never mind just console yourselves that it is still really only 20p/litre, the rest is just a donation to charity.
